Question for Photographers that know about Canon Cameras & Accessories?

I really just have a question about this:

Because I know I'll need a Tripod, but most of the reviews are saying the tripod is bad quality.
Have you ever purchased this camera? or know anything about tripods for it / accessory packages? is this one good?

I think the Canon Rebel XSi is an excellent camera, below the 1st link is to over 600 customer reviews of the camera and they give it an excellent rating. Also, I have a student in my digital photo class this term using the XSi and I have been very impressed with the image quality I have seen.
I would not get that kit with tripod, it looks to be a “cheap” made tripod. I would invest a little in a better tripod. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th links I posted below, are Manfrotto tripods that I think are worth consideration. I would not get a “Accessory Package” but rather buy piece by piece the the items that are the best for for you, even if it cost a few dollars more you will be better off. For example, a cheap weak tripod does you no good toward creating a better images.
You will need a memory card and I recommend the Sandisk brand (Sandisk “Ultra” or “Extreme” card are even better to have), but also Lexar, Transcend, and Kingston are quality brands. (see 5th link below)
You will want a camera bag and if you want something lighweight and affordable and of quality then I would suggest a Tamrac Advantage Holster bag (see the 6th link below).
