How would I meter this and how would I set up the lights?
SET UP INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Product box shot on black seamless cloth.
2. Use Soft Box on one strobe and choice of the following on second strobe.
a. umbrella
b. honeycomb spot grid
c. bare bulb
3. Reflector card available as 3rd light source.
3. Have students keep dome recessed in light meter.
4. Shoot jpeg images. Only RAW if camera can shoot RAW & jpeg together.
5. Usue AUTO COLOR BALANCE. No need to use color check for custom white balance.
6. 25 minute TIME LIMIT.
STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Face the box at an approximate 25o angle from camera facing right. (as in figure below)
2. Use an ISO of 200. Confirm this setting on your camera & light meter.
3. Set the Main / Key light to f/22 for the FRONT of the box.
3. Set the Fill light to f/11 for the TOP of the box.
4. Fill in the side of the box facing the camera with f/8.
5. Camera angle must see all 3 sides of the box. (Front, top & side)
