Flash design can do wonders for a website as long as the designers do not go overboard with visuals and creativity. The usability and requirements of the users need to be kept in mind. When it comes to designing a dating website with Flash the web designers need to be really careful.
A dating website offers the web users a virtual platform for finding likeminded people belonging to the opposite or same gender and interacting with them freely. Therefore, the web designers using Flash in such a website would have to think of the design carefully.
- The homepage of a website should have an inviting feel about it and it should not be overloaded with animations and complex graphics. A cluttered look in the homepage of a dating site can repel the first time visitors. It might have Flash elements but the developers should refrain from overusing Flash.

gel and flash questions for studio shooters.?
I just got a 3rd light for my studio (all Vivitar 285HVs) and so I have main, fill, and the 3rd for background light on my white vinyl wall.
My question is this. When gelling the flash, should I just set the flash to wide angle and aim at the backdrop, or put it in a reflective umbrella and bounce to the backdrop, or does it matter, since it's just a backdrop light? I'd think straight flash would cause a hotspot, wide angle or not.
OR.. hang from the ceiling, bounce to the background, so the color spills to the white vinyl floor as well? (cyc wall 10'wide+9'tall+18long')
I'm starting to think the ceiling, myself, I hope I can get the entire vinyl set colored.
my comment of shooting from the ceiling would be so the gelled light would bounce from the wall to the foreground, instead of from the wall then off to the side.
This is not the best answer, but get "The Hot Shoe Diaries" by Joe McNally. He has a few pages of info on using gels. Amazon and many other places have the book. It's a great book, especially if you use Nikon equipment.
