Loewe Concept L32 - our View is That Overall Pretty Good But the Hi Def Performance Could Have Been Better
Getting a new television for the home is a major purchase nowadays. If you are going to spend what could be considered a small fortune or at the very least a large amount of money then it would be prudent to try and make the correct decision at the outset.
Given the speed and rapidity of technological advances nowadays think carefully about whatever purchase you make and try and ensure within reason the future compatibility of your TV with industry standards.
Television over the years has taken a great number of forms from the old days of analogue Black and White, through the launch of colour television to the latest technologies known as Digital Television (DTT). Other ways have been devised to receive digital television. Among the most familiar to people are digital cable and digital satellite. In some countries where transmissions of TV signals are normally achieved by microwaves, digital MMDS is used.
The purpose of this article is to take a look at what is on offer with the new generation of Flat Screen Televisions available and in this case the television in particular is the Loewe Concept L32.
The Concept L32 is a 32in LCD TV and currently these TV's can be found for 1450 pounds sterling or 2900 US dollars. The resolution of the screen is 1366 X 768 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is yes. The Loewe has 2 (1 RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the Concept L32 uses is HDMI and 1. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and the Loewe is available from specialised outlets only.
So how would we rate the Loewe Concept L32?
Well to start with our score for the picture quality is 8 out of 10, and closely tied in to the picture quality is the sound quality and our score for this would be 8 out of 10. Another useful aspect to review is the availability and number of relevant connections and our score here would be 10 out of 10. If we take a look at the overall "featureability" our score would be 8 out of 10 and the final individual verdicts would relate to the ease of use and overall value for money and our scores here would be, 8 out of 10 and 8 out of 10 respectively.
Taking everything into consideration our overall view of the package would be this TV looks terrific and in some cases the colours add real value and striking images but when you look at something Hi-def then some of the blue tints and granular effects aren't that appealling.
With the wide range and variety of makes and models available for you to choose from it is unlikely that you will not find something to suite your taste or satisfy any budgetary constraints that you might have. The choice, as they say, is completely down to you to decide whether to stay at the forefront of what are rapidly changing technologies and fashion or to remain part of the safer but perhaps better developed mainstream. HDTV Nividia Wide Screen Monitor and TV?
I have a wide Screen HDTV at 1280x720, and I clone my 1280x1024 monitor to it to watch TV and movies in High def, and it works great. But I want to get a 22 inch widescreen LCD monitor (samsung 225bw) at 1680x1050. Oh ya, my video card is a Nvidia 7900GS. Can I get my TV to look exactly like my monitor, with no panning? Currently it pans vertically, but Im worried if I get a wide screen LCD that it will then pan vertically and horizontally, when I just want it to look exactly like the monitor. Thanks a lot!
You should be able to set up independent resolutions on each monitor straight out of the display settings in windows. RIght click on the desktop. Click settings tab. Set Monitor 1's resolution and Monitor 2's resolution.
