Contact lens ranges from Bausch and Lomb
Bausch and Lomb launched its contact lenses section in 1971. Before that, the company had spent three years on intensive development and research, following by another two years for the Food and Drug Administration's approval. In total, Bausch and Lomb spent three million dollars in the investment of contact lenses section as an initial step.
In fact, the contact lens section under Bausch and Lomb came into existence much later than the company's eyeglass frames and other vision products. Contact lenses were not one of the modest origins of Bausch and Lomb. The name of the firm came from its German founders John Jacob Bausch and Henry Lomb. As immigrants, they established the company in the year of 1853. After more than 100 years of development, Bausch and Lomb is now providing a large number of customers with contact lenses and lens care products. Conducting business in 36 countries, Bausch and Lomb has now built its own fame in the contact lens world.
Before the first launch of Bausch and Lomb contact lenses in 1971, other varieties of contact lenses were made of glass or acrylic glass. Bausch and Lomb lenses first used the material of Poly-HEMA. It was this breakthrough that helped Bausch and Lomb establish its first image. Actually, the primary products offered by Bausch and Lomb were flexible and softer. Its status of part of standard vocabulary was significantly contributed by the success of the initial products.
The basic line of Bausch and Lomb is "SofLens One Day" lenses. This lens pack is now available in daily disposable type. Other lenses offered by Bausch and Lomb including "SofLens Comfort" and "Sequence" can last two weeks. In particular, "SofLens66 Toric" type is exclusively suitable for astigmatic patients. Compared to other varieties, the "Boston" and "Purevision" ranges offer far superior oxygen diffusion. These two lines are needed by people with sensitive or dry eyes.

the contact lens from bausch & lomb SoftLens have become thinner?
Since the beginnign of this year I've found that the new lens in brand new packages have become thinner and are a lot easier to break when i clean them, compare to before. I use them for 2 weeks but sometimes they break in just a week. Does any other SoftLens wearer notice that too?
yes i think they are all thinner i have had the same problems and mine are a toric lens
